Last sailing day before the 6 person lock down. Weed again causing problems but eventually some casual racing took place over small courses. Strong warm winds created great sailing for the DF95s and IOMs present.
Saturday 22nd August. Super sailing conditions, unfortunately spoiled by problems with weed. 4 DF95 boats out practising today.
Saturday 15th August 2020. This week saw excellent sailing conditions in a light North Easterly wind. A selection of DF65 and DF95 boats had some good practice and a couple of informal races took place.
Today saw superb sailing conditions with hot winds blowing from the west. A turnout of new DF95 boats meant a morning of tuning and fixing for the newly launched boats. Practice and a few informal races were held for both DF95 and IOM boats.
Casual racing today. 4 DF95’s on the water. 2 brand new boats and at least one more due shortly. Strong to firm gusts made for quite exciting downwind sailing with the boats handling the conditions very well.
No racing today, one IOM, two DF95 and four DF65 out practising though. Plenty of boats available but not many helms. Pity, great sailing conditions for those that made the effort.
